Website optimisation: How do we do it?

Making sure your website is fully optimised is crucial. Also called search engine optimisation (SEO), the phrase describes the procedures used to optimise – or to design from scratch – a website that will rank well in search engines.

Making sure your website is fully optimised is crucial. Also called search engine optimisation (SEO), the phrase describes the procedures used to optimise – or to design from scratch – a website that will rank well in search engines.

Website optimisation includes processes such as adding relevant keywords and phrases onto your website, editing meta tags, image tags, and optimising other areas of your website to ensure that it is accessible and will improve the way that the website is indexed by search engines.

But, how do we do it? We’ve bullet pointed our top tips so you know what we do to help boost your website up search engine rankings.

We do our research!

Each website is different. Different purposes, different audiences, and different designs, and for this reason we will always sit and talk to our clients to find out what they want from their website, and find what key words we should be using to help boost their SEO. From this, we can design and develop a site that is easy to use, responsive across all devices, and best optimised to get high rankings in search engines.

We don’t assume that just because a website is responsive that it is optimised.

Web design and development can easily wow people when it is done right, but a nice looking and a nicely working website does not mean that it is built how it should be. A lot of work needs to be done behind the scenes to ensure that a website is optimised, and we make sure that we have done it properly to enhance the site. Our team are all confident in the way they work, and take pride in every site we build.

We test and test and test!

As we develop each of our sites, we will have regular testing stages to ensure that everything is working as it should. We have people that help us out as well as expert developers that check the coding behind the scenes of our website, and make the changes to make them as good as they can be. Testing is crucial to make sure your website is optimised.

We use Google to track people as well as devices!

Google Analytics is our preferred method of tracking website stats and figures. People will use different devices at different times of the day to access your website. Google Analytics has a user view you can switch on to track people, find where they are coming from, how they found your site, and what kind of device they are viewing it on.

We don’t release the site until we are 100% happy with it ourselves.

We won’t pass the site back to you until we are satisfied it looks good, it works well, and that we have done everything you asked of us. After the final testing stages, we then wait for your feedback and approval of our work before sending the site live, fully responsive and fully optimised!

If your website is not fully optimised, get in touch with us today. We are always more than happy to come for a chat and see how we can help.
