Case study brief: Developing an accessible, modern website for VHR
Viewpoint HR delivers comprehensive HR business transformation solutions across diverse business sectors to a range of high-profile clients.
Requiring a website for a new service, in conjunction with one of HeX’s previous clients B3sixty, they approached the communications consultancy Bulletin.
Effective partnership working made this case study stand out
After a long-standing relationship, working on numerous previous successful partnership projects, Bulletin enlisted our expertise. The team required rapid web development to bring their creative design work to life. Together, achieving the project’s objectives under a tight timeframe, whilst delivering a sleek, functional site that accurately represents VHR’s business offering.

Web development activities delivered
- Accessible web development
- Automated and manual accessibility testing to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards
Collaborative cross-agency working
Project consultancy between the two teams led to an effective strategic approach to the development of the new Viewpoint HR platform. Initial meetings between our agencies, enabled our team to understand key features and functionality that the client envisaged.
Bulletin supplied all the required branding and striking wireframe designs, created by Senior Design Laura Wells. This empowered our experts to purely focus on developing a high-quality, sleek site, built with usability and accessibility at its core.
Building a flexible and inclusive WordPress website

Building the website in HeX’s preferred Content Management System (CMS) WordPress, allowed for a rapid website delivery, without sacrificing quality, functionality, or scalability.
The power and flexibility of WordPress’ Gutenberg Blocks enabled our developers to have a modular approach to the build. With the way that we manipulate the software to add in key features and functionality, along with our bespoke accessible codebase, we swiftly implemented core components, personalised content types, and plugins.
Along with being developed to be responsive across varied screen resolutions and browsers, every HeX-built site is created to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA standards. This ensures that our sites have been built and tested with inclusivity in mind, ensuring the site will work with assistive technologies and providing an equal and user-friendly experience for all disabled users.
Accessible web development project impact and results
With our collaborative approach working alongside Bulletin, we achieved a sleek and responsive website that seamlessly reflects what the client had envisioned during the design process.

Viewpoint HR now has a dynamic and intuitive platform that not only is visually appealing, but all users will be able to fluently flow through the site, no matter what software or device they may use.
We look forward to further cross-agency collaboration with the Bulletin team, helping clients to achieve their project goals.
